Who we are . . .

Janice Scanlan is founder of Performance Foundations. She is best known for developing performance programs that are results-driven, measurable and equip managers and employees for change. She believes in working closely with business principals and managers to ensure their ideas and objectives can be understood and implemented at every organizational level. 

She has over twenty-five years in business management, sales and consulting. As the first woman executive in a national search firm, her start up branch staffed with rookies, collected revenues that exceeded an established branch. This practical experience in management, sales and development has been instrumental in her results-based approach to organizational improvements. Janice has been a business owner since 1985.

Janice received her BA from the University of Oklahoma and MA from the University of Houston. Her areas of concentration demonstrate her versatility from organizational development, sociology, social psychology to accounting. Her masters thesis on building performance in  temporary work groups was ahead of its time in 1973.

She is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) through the Institute of Management Consultants USA (IMC USA). IMC is the oldest and largest accrediting body for management consultants that requires clients' references, evidence of successful engagements, and completion of a sitting examination on ethical practices. In addition to winning IMC USA's Distinguished Service Award in 2003, she was named a Fellow of IMC USA in 2004. She is two-time past president of the Houston Chapter and headed the National Professional Development for three years.

Janice is active in various civic groups.. She has provided professional services for arts and theatre groups, various civic organizations and  to a  non-profit organization that provides mammography to women without insurance on an ability to pay basis.

Janice is married to John Scanlan. Her hobbies include gardening, water gardening, book clubs, and enjoying friends and cats. She resides outside of Houston, Texas.
